Many thanks In regards to your question: You should be a bit more specific and also formulate some plan as to where you want to go and how you are getting around. BC is a big place, you could fit Britain into it 8 times. No good trying to do too much, you'll see nothing. The closest you would get to experiencing Canadian living is staying with friends or going to Bed & Breakfasts. Weather depends where you go, in March you can get arctic weather up north to wet and dismal down south. Choose your town from here and you can see the normals for weather http://www.climate.weatheroffice.gc....nselect_e.html |

Hello
re. not cities, then whilst I am not sure what size you might mean by that, I would recommend having a read about the Okanagan - a range of mid to small towns by UK stds - warmer & drier than nearer the coast. Not an area I had ever heard of before my sister moved there so worth a quick read about to see if it appeals to you. I also like Vancouver Island - different climate again & also diff types of towns. Coast, inland, mountains - lots of variety to read about. have fun :) |

Agreed that you need to be a bit more specific. The best way to describe the weather is variable. Anything between shorts and tee shirt sunbathing and a full on snow storm. All at the same place.

Re: recce trip to BC
Sorry for the vagueness and confusion
Was planning on flying in to Vancouver and after that not to sure realy? Was planning on hiring a car and travelling around.Thinking of migrating over, so was planning on doing a mixture of information gathering on work, lifestyle etc and a adventure holiday. Any more advice on best places to visit within reasonable driving distance other than the city to give good idea of Canadian way of life will be appreciated. Thanks |
