Clock radio arrived today. I am completely knocked out by the sound quality. USB and SD card slots allow for a variety of external audio sources in addition to radio or alarm.

It will take a bit of getting used to and when it's playing on sleep, the time left before it turns off is displayed as opposed to reverting back to the clock display, which also shows day of the week, date and temperature (as F or C).

It's this one and I see it's come down another $5 since I ordered mine.
$29.50...bargain.

Is anyone else tired all the time? I have never been full of energy and always slept more then what most likely do, but man it's getting worse, if I sleep 8 hours, I still wake up tired, sleep 12 same, 6-7 and I am a zombie, less then 6, and I barely function...

Doctors have ruled out any physical ailment, and blood work taken over the years is always normal, so no known cause.

I work 3 days one week, and 4 the off week, 12 hour shifts, and the weeks I have 4, I barely make it through the week.

But maybe that is just me.

I think I sleep, but I dunno maybe I am not sleeping through the night but don't remember waking up?

I hate when mistakes cost money. I wanted to book a hotel on Jan 29th, but accidentally booked it for Jan 14th, and now have to pay the no show charge 97 dollars.

grrrrr.

You aren't the only one, it's prime time for SAD and yesterday was Blue Monday, it was on the news. It was bright and sunny here yesterday but still managed to feel blah. Your internal clock is spot on. Remember inquiring about light boxes a couple of years ago? It should get better as the days get longer.

Funny thing, there was a card enclosed saying "STOP. Read this card before AUGUST"

Then I read it properly. "Read this card before use" and then August below. It was about registering the warranty.

Off the point I know, but does anyone know if cashback on a credit card is taxable in Canada.

Off point? No that certainly sounds random enough

It wouldn't even have occurred to me to think of that.

On the one hand I would say no, because it's a refund. But then it comes back from the card issuer (even though it relates to a purchase).
I googled and according to this, the answer is No unless it's via a 'work' card.

That might adversely affect some on BE.

We had a snowfall in the GTA yesterday and overnight. Probably about 5 inches. Not too much but enough to cause some disruption to traffic and lives. I’m always astonished when driving through upscale neighbourhoods ($1 million + homes) with expensive cars in driveway and probably all the electronic toys God can send, and I see older men out there shoveling snow, to the possible detriment of their health. Why they wouldn’t buy themselves a decent snowblower? With one, a double car driveway and a 60ft sidewalk can be cleared in probably 15 minutes.
Seems very short-sighted to me

Perhaps they consider it's the only exercise they get.

Or use a contractor. Even I pay a guy to do ours. I restrict myself to the steps and occasionally clearing a bit so as to get out to the street.

Even when I used to do it all, I was careful and would sometimes take several shifts over a couple of days. But maybe they are doing that too?

I'm home sick today with the dreaded lurch so I'm watching daytime telly. I've learned so much, did you know that we should put cedar boughs on the boot tray? As soon as I have the strength I'll dash out and cut some. I'm sure it will make all the difference.

I’m in the market for a new alarm. I literally only use it to tell the time. Hubby and I both have Sony alarms. Mine looses time and is currently 13 minutes slow (even if I unplug it for a bit) and hubbies is 8 minutes fast (unplugging doesn’t help that one either).
So if I wake up in the middle of the night I have to do the math depending on which way I’m facing which is difficult when groggy.
