I'm not going to open my draws in front of this crowd but I forgot crucial objects in the car. Hats! One for each driver, to be worn with the top down or, with the top up in case of a desire to go at 20mph, swerve all over the road and make plain that there'll be no use of indicators by this vehicle.

Re: This purse belongs to me :)
My desk drawer contains the usual jumble of software, cables, dead staplers, more memory sticks than I could ever need and various empty bottles that once held Tylenol and sundry blood-pressure/cholesterol pills.
For some reason, there is also a Pritt Stick. I have no idea why. I have never used or bought such a thing.

Oh yes, I have half a dozen of those in the car. They're all the same so I've stuck masking tape on them with the name of the company, the PIN, the userid and the password. If only callers from the outsourcers for those firms were able to convey the name of the firm they're representing I might be able to make use of them.

I know the feeling though , I once worked at a company that insisted on such a "strong" password that the only option I had was to write it down

Tokens are a means of securing a VPN, the user has a physical device that generates a long number, when he or she connects to the VPN the number must be entered, usually preceded by a PIN and is matched to a number known to the VPN. They've rather gone out of fashion but some firms still have them.
My problem, and I'm not saying that this is my only problem in life, is that I tend not to use each one for a year or more. Then I get a phone call from India and need to connect to the VPN for the firm with the issue in order to see if something has gone wrong with the system. Since each firm has half a dozen assorted computers each with a different log on procedure, user id and password, I need that information, and the operating system name, documented somewhere; masking tape does it.

Typically, if the VPN requires a token, then every remote user of the intranet will have a token even for email and the like. That's a pita so I usually set up my email account to forward to an address outside the firewall.
