Pumpkins

What sort of pumpkin are you carving? I was going to get the biggest, roundest pumpkin I could find, poke two little holes in it and write "I'm Bob Ford, bitch" on it....
.... However I wussed out and made a scary skeleton pumpkin instead.

Let's have some snaps too. I'll post mine tomorrow.

No not us but I am very impressed that you can get those pumpkin carving kits and stencils.

Didn't even know about them until this week when sis in law was doing some. Til that point I thought people were just incredibly clever lol

Here are ours. I'm really pleased with the way Frankenstein's Monster turned out. It's the first time I've tried one with a lot of two-tone shadow; it involved peeling the skin off and leaving the flesh so that the light shines through a bit. Had a great template for that one.

I then tried to freehand the same effect with the wolf/moon thing from a picture of somebody else's pumpkin. The hangman's tree was my son's design, modified a bit so it would actually work without collapsing on itself.

We hid and poked at the dog to make him bark more.

Re: Pumpkins

Stoopid parents kept sending their little kids up our path, ringing our doorbell. We had NO decorations, NO porch lights, NO light in our living room (until we put the TV on which was around 8pm) - err take the hint guys, if we wanted to to do Halloween, there would be a pumpkin or two!

So the poor dog still ended up going mad, should be nice an quiet next year when we're out in the country:fingerscrossed: (You watch we'll get even more:rolleyes:).

I doubt it somehow. However our kids made out like bandits as everone spoils them and the few other trick or treaters rotten. The rule is though if there are no lights on, then leave them alone. The vast majority of places though were lit up and enjoyed seing the kids having fun.

Last year we had a couple of dozen, whereas this year we had none even though it was a nice evening and the kids who came around did quite well last year (and it wasn't the wolf, he was inside behaving himself). Not that I care overly, but I've got two boxes of treats to get rid of. Decent ones too - none of that hershies cats piss chocolate.
