Poutine was on offer in Burger King when we first moved to Quebec in 2007... McDs are late to the party.
It never cured any of my hangovers.
The Grauniad is running out of proper news, surprise surprise......

If I'm making a beef roast, I sometimes make tiny roast potatoes and serve them topped with lots of grated mozzarella and home-made beef gravy.

Best "poutine". Ever.

Has anyone else noticed the thread title irony?

Poutine is the name of the Russian president, Putin, in French.

Er...no...simply been salivating over the photo of poutine in the Guardian article. Not a pleasant image, I know. Apologies.

I'm confused

I thought it was the IS who are going to take over the world (on Thursday, probably early in the afternoon).

Perhaps if they had some poutine they would chill out a bit...

You'd better ask BristolUK. He's running this thread. Could we make it Friday do you think, I'm washing my hair on Thursday.

I just checked the internet to see if that would be a possibility, however, the news is that everyone is now chopping off heads.

Looking at this positively, all the head chopping might prevent the spread of ebola

And allow containment of Poutine.

Poutine is great. Posh chips'n'gravy.

Not as good as chips'n'curry sauce though. And it has to be the curry sauce from the chinky... that vivid yellow stuff that doesn't taste like anything else on earth, not even curry.

Did you ever try chips'n'curry sauce in a soft white bread roll?
