Hi guys,

On average, how long has it usually taken for something you've sent from Canada to reach the UK via regular mail?

I sent something two weeks ago which hasn't been received and I think I'm going to re-send.

I find it takes 2 weeks to leave Canada and then a day to get to the final destination within the UK.

I tend to get things about a week after they are sent to UK. Other than when either country has post problems has it taken more than 8 days, I think. I tend to allow upto 10 when posting from UK

My OH sent a small package, regular mail on 9th September, hoping it would arrive in time for Son's Birthday on 26th October, it arrived today, 9th November. We have several stories like this....

Regular mail (not air mail) is 4 to 6 weeks.

From the UK to Canada though, I have received packages within 3-4 days of them being sent

It varies. Some stuff I send takes less than a week. On the other hand, a surface mail package I sent last year took two months.

Stuff coming this way is extremely variable and subject to the whims of Canada Post. I'm on my company's mailing list for all our stuff. I know when things are posted, I usually know when they arrive in Canada because they normally get postmarked here, and I know when I receive them. Letters typically float around in Canada for a good week before I finally get them.
