There is something to be said for straightforward photos, they often have a bit more feeling and interest than technically perfect photos. I like the shot too, really shows the freshness of the water and the day.

I absolutely agree with all recent comments Js- it isn't a competition, people can have the flashiest of gear and take the crappiest of photos- sometimes simple , non fancy- smanshy is way purer - I love the ferry between the Gulf Islands and you have shown it off perfectly- it reproduces the scene really well..... Job done nicely I would say!

Your other photos are nicely composed and taken as well btw

I saw one of these taking off in Nanaimo, well a sea plane, may not be this specific airline, and a boat was trying to race it, the boat lost the race.
