The pop in

I feel like a Seinfeld episode where they discuss the pop in visit.

Except the pop in visitor lives 165km away and takes a greyhound as transportation.

Never in a million years would I have thought MIL would be taking greyhound just to pop in for a visit...

Lol

I thought people were used to travelling long distances in North America.

I've travelled longer by bus in England for nothing more than a 90 minute football match. 321km once. :( Lost 4-1. But it was third division Bristol Rovers against a great Leeds United.

I was asked to try out for Bristol Rovers Ladies team back in the day!

I hate pop-ins, let me know in advance so I can tidy up, put some slap on and prepare myself to be sociable, lol.

I just want advance notice. I am a very routine person and my routine varies little and randomly having someone show up well breaks my routone which puts me into a poor mood....lol

She did learn that by not calling and we having no idea she was coming meant she spent about 6 hours outside waiting before the building care taker let her in.

I am going to have a talk with the care taker as its very comcerning he let her in despite having not met her.

Luckily we were home but sleeping as we were both sick. Scared us when she walked into the room.
..lol

Seems we are both having some sort of allergy to something put here we never had in Squamish. Maybe the air is just not as clean....

The last time I had a "pop in" it was a mate with three of his friends. Four young Royal marine officers sleeping in our condo getting up to all sorts at all hours. It was entertaining for a couple of days. At least on the extremely rare occurrence my real mum visits she has enough disdain for me and good grace to check into the Four Seasons. :)

Maybe if I start charging by the km to take her home plus toll research fee of 30 dollars plus the toll...lol

Reminds me to go pay those stupid tolls. Insurance is up for renewal.

Luckily we have no spare bed or couch or any furnitire in the living room so she finds 1 night enough....lol

We did invite her for easter but she is hoping the son will say to go to his house. He is #1 child despite the fact he ignores the family. So rsvp deadline is over and I am taking a drive to Oregon over easter hopefully.

If you go, visit Eugene, around the university area. Its a bit of shit hole aesthetically but the people are funky and very friendly. Its a laugh, you'll love it.

The Saturday 'farmers' market is an interesting place to see people who went on a one way journey at Woodstock.

All kidding aside a drive along US101 on the Oregon coast would be a great road trip. Great coffee, great scenery, great beer, Crater Lake, no sales tax....one of my favourite states.
