Playing Footy over here.

Playing Footy over here.
So I have been looking into joining a footy team over here. I haven't played for a good 6 years or so.. but I want to get back into it. I have looked around online and found that there are quite a few recreational teams in and around the fraser valley which is good for me.
I was just wondering is anyone has any experience playing footy over here? And if so what is it like? Is it easy enough to get registered/into teams? etc
Thanks.

The hardest thing for me was that I hadnt played for a looong time. I turned up for training and was absolutely knackered after a couple of minutes, and was shown up by the natives who were in much better shape.
There is a lot more "rec soccer" here eg/ co-ed, "just for fun", and that might help you get back in to a bit of shape (and get your form back!)

^^^^^
The fittness level here apears to be greater than the uk level at rec soccer. Some so called pub teams would give some league 2 teams a good game. Lol
I dont play but i have a fair few mates who do. This is only an observation mind. My sons team really are 50% fitter than his uk team could ever be.

Looks like I'll have to get my running shoes on then.. my level of fitness isn't the greatest.. and I don't want to been shown up from the locals other wise I'd never hear the end of it!
