that was exactly the reason I started taking lessons. I was a fully fledged flying-phobe . Tried therapy, alcohol , the works.

this is what has finally cured me!

Dangerous is not really the proper description, challenging maybe. Add a bit of heat (density alt) and it gets more interesting. Airport is at 7300 feet

Visual approach, no ILS, an approach plate is useless.
