Petro Canada have loyalty cards which after 6 years of use I got $25 back, ok

So they are currently running a 3c off a litre if u show and use the card at the counter (does not discount at the pump) great u may think, well yes it was

They have now priced the gas 3c more expensive were I live, Ajax, also done the same on Whitby and Oshawa. So the two gas stations in Ajax across from each other are $1.13and Petro Canada $1.17

So to get the same price now at a Petro Canada gas station you must forgo the ease of pay at the pump and wander in and line up. WTF some companies are just so dumb !!

Shell has a 3c discount if first you stick an AirMiles card into the pump. It does the discount at the pump and no inside trip required. As to increasing price before buying, I just don't know. I noted when passing Petrocan this morning a large banner advertising the 3c discount.

The price was the same in Ajax until this am, now it gone up 3c. In Whitby it's was 1.17 was $1.14 last week. Most places as u know are 1.13 - 1.14 as of today.

Hmmm- that's interesting for shell. If I don't find time to queue at Costco I tend to end up at shell, as they have a touchless wash too.

Biggest benefit at Costco is their uplift on premium is way less than the majors, typically +10c rather than +20c

If any of you have access to Perkopolis then have a look and see if Esso is listed there. If so, you can sign up for the Business Card program, which gives you 3¢ a litre off fuel. It's basically a credit card, you whack it in, type in your PIN, and away you go. The discount is applied when you get your monthly bill.

It's not a gas price moan thread, it's a gas price screwing around and just annoying that they would force customers into the payment booth thread, just to get gas at the same price as the gas station across the road. It's the sort of thing I notice as I fill up at least 3 times a week.

This am the Ajax Petro Canada is at $1.12 (1.09 if u line up inside) and the Scarborough one is back to $1.16, (1.13 if u go inside) was $1 13 last night. Ha !!!

It appears the Shell discount is only at stations that are close to CostCo locations that have gas.

I use Extra Foods for gas, usually the cheapest in town and on a fill-up of 70 ltrs, depending on price/ltr, I get about $5 - $6 back for shopping.

Magnumpi you need to come up to New Tecumseth, it's only $1.08 here...no discount needed, you can pay at the pump.

Almost as if they're a private company and not a state owned enterprise! It's all about the profit. Who cares if you treat the customer for a fool!

I know in Guelph you're pretty much guaranteed to save at least 3 cents a litre at Costco. If you drive any meaningful kilometres you'll probably make your membership back just on fuel. Whether that holds for anything inside the store depends on the individual I suppose.

I'd be happy if gas would go back down to 1.18.... keeps going up a penny every weekend it seems, up to 1.31 now. Just in time for summer prices go up.

I don't think any of the stations are offering any promotions, none they are advertising anyhow with signs.
