Tried hola and found it was slow.

Just paid $5 a month for surfeasy. Got to trial it first with BBCiplayer, 4od and the UK and USA Netflix - worked well for me

Don't use a registry cleaner, don't really need it. Decent anti-virus should be plenty, every 2-3 years it's a good idea to do a clean windows reinstall.

I don't use VPN, I use a DNS service, UnoTelly, costs US$48 for a year, gets me iPlayer, Netflix from whatever country, 4OD, TVNZ, and so on and so forth. Works great, and it's set up at the router level, so any device behind the router - phones, laptops, tablets, etc, all respect the settings without having to do anything. (Freaked out my cousin when he came to visit and just went "Whoa! Why is your Netflix so much better than mine! This is awesome! Is it because you're in Ontario and I'm in Quebec?" Hahaha.)
