Hoping to give you another Naval Anecdote after flying out to my sons ship in to meet it on its way back from the Gulf.......
5 days onboard.......should be fun all the way back to Plymouth...... its called Families at Sea should be a soap opera......:rofl: |

the Ships Company had a vote on where they wanted their last stop........Gib or Alicante and they chose Alicante..... ....would have preferred Gib.......;) the main duty of the Quartermaster at HMS Rook (shorebase on Gib) was to deliver a list of the happy hours on Gib so you could time your run ashore so that you got 2 for 1 everywhere you went.......... there used to be more pubs in Gib than days of theyear....... |
