Hi Nikki, i was just about to Pm you...;)

We have to wait for the insurance company to send some loss assestment team out, they'll let us know when to move and when the work will start. They're coming tomorrow to put extractor fans into the foundations so at least the fumes will be gone when they do. I'm not sure about the major work but they have to give us time to put our furniture into storage and find a rental property to live in while they do the work...:o

I'm changing my name to Drama Queen:rofl:

We were going to take it off the market today. Our agents said they can keep it on the books but not advertise our house for a while. They said if we take it off we'll need to pay all the advertising costs, boards and fees todate. If we leave it on, we don't pay anything:o The mind boggles:rofl:

Are the Irish Estate Agents different to them in the UK?

If we wanted to change estate agents in the UK you didn't have to pay advertising costs

These are unforeseen circumstances.

We are in the UK, and normally you don't have to pay but because of the credit crunch they are trying to get as much as they can out of home owners by any means they can...sneaky rats:sneaky:

Have a look at the contract you've signed.

I'm sure after six weeks you are entitled to go if they haven't sold your house.

Have you signed anything that says this?

I think this is a new one they put in due to the market slowing up.:sneaky:

I'll have a look at it later and let you know:thumbsup:
