So allegedly one of these attackers was a homegrown French youth who was flagged by the police for Islamic extremism. The 2 x attackers who carried out the Charlie Hebdo attack were also known to the police and one was initially under surveillance but that was called off.
Many have said and even posters on here value their privacy over security. Governments must not spy on its own citizens by monitoring them.

I work for the Federal Govt with SECRET clearance.
I have never been arrested
I have never travelled to Turkey in recent months using a Canadian passport
I have never visited any radical websites especially those that deal with Jihad

So please tell me why I should worry if any Canadian Govt entity is interested in me or monitoring my daily life?

Thank goodness we have BE's answer to Colombo on the case.

Between the magnifying glass and the Daily Mail we'll get the answers soon.

Of course reading an article on the news also makes one an expert on the matter so they feel the need to come on and write endless posts repeating the same tit tat.

I'm not "faulting" anyone. However, keeping things secretive is terrorism/"resistance action" 101.

If I wanted/needed to know how, & didn't have a clue/brain, a quick Google explains it massively in detail . If I did have a clue/brain, I'd be laughing .

I am serious, 8 is a big cell. To keep a secret, don't tell anyone. The bigger number that know, the bigger chance of the secret being blabbed. That is how many other large cells are detected.

This is what happens when there is an International break and no EPL soccer on

Did it ever cross your mind that it could be two cells of 4.

Or cells of 5 and 3?

Or another combination of X and Y?

I'm just trying to understand the science behind the algorithm here.

Coincidence that the news this scumbag was taken out and then the attacks in Paris?

I feel the problem in dealing with these people is that we're not prepared to be as totally ruthless as they are, and dispose with our humanity and just ignore the collateral damage and drop a few hundred fuel-air bombs where IS/ISIS/Nutters are known to originate from (Syria / Iraq?). Probably just make the ones you don't get more relentless and ups the ante in their response.

Well I'm pleased the England-France friendly is still going ahead at this stage.

The goal of any terrorist attack is to disrupt and divide.

The best thing we can all do is keep calm and carry on.

I think it was a coincidence. The US claim to be taking out mid to senior ISIS officials every two days with drone attacks.

I'd also expect they had the stadium attack date ringed for a while. Germany-France is a good match to make a political statement on many levels.

The sad thing is that the vast majority of those Syrian refugees are trying to escape this kind of shit. And now this will be used against them.

Just heard that one of the suicide bombers had a ticket for the game but was refused entry, he blew up as he was backing away from security. That could have been worse than it was :@( nice work by security IMO
