Many expats don't fully appreciate Canada's vastness until they see it on a map. This map by Matador Network provides an interesting comparison:

Fascinating!!

It is often hard to really describe to someone in the UK or Europe just how much difference there is between Canada and over there!!

Really? I've never had a conversation with anyone that doesn't understand how scales on a map work.

Of course you might have to explain to them that only 5% of Canada is habitable.

I like these maps. Have seen them before, but I like all maps! How Missoula makes it onto a map of this type, I don't quite know!!

If you define Canada based on where most (90%) of the population live, it is 3,000 miles wide but only 100 miles from north to south. :lol:
