Omarosa
Is she wacky? She does seem a bit embittered to me. And the whole 'N-word' hysteria makes me wonder if Trump has a point about 'fake news'.

I think Trump is a racist and likely does use that term. I expect she has proof that Trump's team discussed damage control in case his use of language became generally known. It's a story for a slow news day but I don't see anything fake in it. |
Re: Omarosa
If she is such a flake, what does that say about the incompetence of the fool that hired her?
Oh... |
Re: Omarosa
Wacky? Probably. Hired by the President of the US? Yes, no denying that. Called a dog by same president. No denying that either. So, whatever the Omarosa thing is, it sure as hell isn't fake news.

Re: Omarosa
Not convinced that Trump, for his many many faults, is a racist. Yet, it's clear that the media is lapping up Omarosa's assertions, and selectively reporting on Trump's insults against African Americans. If anything, he's an equal opportunity bigot!

Not convinced? Really? What more evidence do you need to convince you he's a racist? Trump has consistently failed to condemn racists, white supremacists and nazis. From his refusal to disavow David Duke's endorsement, to his comments on Charlottesville "There are good people on both sides" - and not forgetting the history of discrimination in Trump-owned properties in Brooklyn (an antidiscrimination suit was settled in the late 1970s before it got to court...) He's a universal shit, perhaps, but his universally shitty attitude towards other people goes double for those who are not white. |
Re: Omarosa
I think he'd have to be a white supremacist himself, in order to be truly racist. Or at least show a higher disdain for black/other people. He did appoint this Omarosa after all, he's friends with Oprah, and generally seems too apolitical to be racist. His discrimination in the 70's sounds racist, but it was a different time, not long after the civil rights movement, and his motivations were probably economic rather than racial. I do have more if a problem with the Charlottesville / "many sides" issue, but that might simply be his incompetence, his politics or even Putin's orders. There is plenty of anecdotal evidence that he is racist, as the media is pointing out, but whether in his mind/heart he is or not is much harder to judge.
I agree with your very last comment (Trumpian terminology not withstanding). |

Mexicans. He's made a number of comments about Mexicans that might not be considered fair and balanced. Muslims. Terrorists, every one of them. Palestinians. Just ugh!

That's just stereotyping though. And he's playing to his political base.
