Ok - just over the end of football - now Tennis
So just about over the end of the Championship ( have TFC tickets) and now into the Tennis season.
The French is soon over and Queens and Wimbledon to come. Are there any Tennis fans here that can tell me if there are any pro tournaments in Toronto?
Cheers

Montreal get the men - Toronto get the women. Women's Tennis has got much better these days, but not as good as Men's. May be a weekend away.

Ooh I love Wimbledon but its hard to watch here. And when I miss stuff they don't do one of those lovely one hour evening round up type programmes, or not that I've found anyway. But I will battle on!

Apparently for $50.00 a year, there is a company that you can hide your IP address and watch BBC live as well as Iplayer and ITVplayer !

But if you are at work here, it's all over by the time you get home. Ok for weekend watching.
(Ok, sad story coming up, and this is just between you and me L-E-L, right? I have been known in the past to take my annual leave from work just so I can sit and watch Wimbledon at home. Fab! )

Don't understand what the "never mind" means - apparently if you have a strong VPN you can watch the BBC streaming live from their website

Well, it's good to be in Europe and watch it LIVE on Eurosport. Play suspended now due to rain (Sharapova v Azarenka).

fyi the Rogers Cup is held on consecutive weeks in Montreal and Toronto. They go turn and turn-about as to who has the men and who the women. This year the women are in Toronto. The tournament is held at the Rexall Centre, on the campus of York University - I went in 2010 and watched Andy Murray beat Roger Federer in the final. Not a bad tournament to watch - not quite the atmosphere of Wimbledon, obviously, but they usually get a bunch of top-seeded players showing up because the timing works well a couple of weeks before the US open.

My mate's brother is a Canadian pro and I have been to see him play in the Davis cup which is a lot more fun than you'd might think. They have a very relaxed attitude at these things about bringing in booze.
