I don't know. It is an assumption made up thread and I would have sworn blind the first time I read that story it mentioned she was. Maybe I am finally losing my last hold on sanity.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. Generally, Outraged of Tunbridge Wells berates the immigrants for not adopting western values. Yet here, most seem to be saying this woman is a silly cow for wanting a man's haircut in a men only barber shop. An interesting juxtaposition of rights, and prejudices.

I think I support her. However frivolous it seems if people don't challenge our preconceptions of how things should work society will not evolve. What would have happened if Rosa Parks hadn't sat on that seat?

It's not about "rights", it's about wrongs.

It is demeaning to compare Rosa Parks' bravery to some strident lesbo harpy insisting on a haircut in a barbers.

I'm pretty tired of religion being used as an excuse to discriminate, especially based on gender, so I'm with you there.

Religion in general or that it's used to discriminate? My hands up for both.

Yes she is openly Gay. She was on the radio yesterday, they interviewed her, now that is sad, how little news is there in Canada that they have to interview a Lesbian trying to get a male haircut from a Muslim barber, LOL, you couldnt make this stuff up

I keep thinking...

If this happened in June and now in Mo-vember she is appearing on the telly with short hair, how short must it have been when she tried to have it cut back in June???

I'd have been more impressed if she had gone in and asked for her beard to be shaved.

Toss in the "n" word some strident lesbo harpy insisting on a haircut in a barbers

to read some strident n_____ harpy insisting on sitting in a white seat and I'd imagine that there some boys in white hats that would agree with you.

Give it 30 odd years and maybe the "lesbo" will be seen in the same light.

No, it's WRONG to discriminate on the basis of colour.

There's nothing WRONG with setting up a business as a men's barber or a ladies hairdresser. I'd suggest even that a majority of hair cutting establishments are gender-biased in their target market. What that lesbo harpy did was the equivalent of me going into a lingerie department and demanding to be measured and fitted for a corset.

Also, most importantly, I'd suggest she went in with the singular intent of provoking the barbers and being "outraged". Perhaps the barbers should go round to her naked lesbian yoga class and demand to join in?

What an interesting set of prejudices are getting an airing here.

Nice avatar. You know what they say, "once you've had black, there's no going back".

What do you mean prejudices?
