Seriously, 'Ultrarunner' comparing Syria and the wholesale slaughter going on there with this lot who currently are little more than a pain in the arse making the place(s) look untidy, is somewhat ludicrous.... |

31 days in a public park and only now they get notice to leave. Well, we should all have the same rights as the squatters. If i park on a no parking zone, the city should give me 31 days to move my car. Equal rights for all. Yip yip yippaa ;) |

So you don't think using bulldozers on innocent people isn't a tiny bit totalitarian? Even if they are annoying crusty twats.

No just their hovels...(sorry, tents)...fire hoses for the miscreants, followed by the bull dozers to clear up the mess....perhaps I should add the odd back hoe?..A tad short of snipers, death squads and machine guns don't you think?

Fire hosing innocent people? I guess you are right; it isn't killing them so it's perfectly alright for a democracy to do this.
Lighten up.....;) |
Re: The Occupy Uprising....
Some of the occupier kids likely got to rub shoulders with real down and outers for the first time in their lives so some good may of come from it. In their zeal to teach others about the gap between rich and poor I hope they learned from the experience. I read on twitter Regina police dismantled what was left of the camp in Victoria Park about an hour ago. In 1935 the RCMP attacked a rally in market square and rode the on-to-Ottawa trekkers down with horses and billy clubs downtown and a couple of other places, bodies were quietly disposed of and order restored. They don't have horses at the training academy here now so city police had to take down the tents. Actually, I think one horse could of done it here.

Re: The Occupy Uprising....
One wonders how many if the posters on here that appear to "support" what they are doing have become involved in any way: donating food, time and effort, even spent a day/night in a tent? Doers as opposed to talkers!
