Oakville, Saturday.

I have to be in Oakville on Saturday to pick up a rash and impulsive online purchase. (No, its not a Russian mail order bride).

Is there anything going on this Saturday afternoon worth checking out that the locals can recommend, seeing as I'll be in that neck of the woods anyway?

TIA...

LOL, I was just thinking after a few hours driving to get there I might want to get out and about for a bit before turning back around again. I can understand though that the locals wouldnt want to encourage the likes of me to hang around, lowering their property values:D

I don't know - it could be read that way. A rash, and an impulsive on-line purchase. You could ask fled about her interpretation;)

Punctuation saves lives. I probably over-reacted though... sorry:o

"Let's eat grandma" vs "Let's eat, Grandma".

I don't know about the afternoon, but I can recommend a performance of Verdi's Requiem in the evening.... details here. My recommendation, of course, has nothing to do with the fact that I am singing in the chorus.

Splendid, break a leg!

Unfortunatly I plan to be well on the way back here by then, its a shame its not in the afternoon:(

There is a scurrilous rumour that the (good) big band I occasionaly play with is supposed to be doing a paying gig in Toronto at some ballroom or other near the Gardner later this year. Then again there are often rumours of paying gigs that never quite pan out:(

Im actually coming to Oakville to pick up a keyboard/ digital piano:thumbup:

Personally, I think Rule 18 is one of the most ridiculous rules I've ever seen on a forum. I can understand it being enforced when someone has misrepresented another's post with the intention of causing trouble, but to threaten someone with a ban for trying to inject a little humour into a thread is overkill.

If BE wants to ban people for this then no wonder this forum gets the same inane posts on a repetitive basis. I've seen more fun on the undertakers forum. :p

I dont make the rules. and I doubt its a rule thats much used, but its there if someones abusing the idea or going too far. I guess you didnt read ALL the remarks before posting.

I think (hope) the rule's there to guard against this ^ sort of behaviour. Obvious humour shouldn't be subject to it, but who's to determine what's funny or not?

I did read all of the remarks.

The sig pic is a Farmville thing. I hadn't noticed anything wrong with it before you pointed it out, and I'm definitely changing it now. Thanks.
