Now THAT'S a cock-up...

Ooops indeed.

Talking of work clangers, years ago a friend of mine borrowed a pool car at work to make a site visit. On the way, he came across a Radio 1 Roadshow, so he decided to stop off and enjoy the fun. Whilst he was in there, someone smashed into the car and wrecked it. He had to call his boss and explain that he was stranded in a field at a roadshow when he was meant to be on a construction site miles away!

Re: Now THAT'S a cock-up...

In my previous life I was briefly a sales person for Ford.

My biggest cock up was ordering a car on a ford computer system with a full leather kit, I mean this was one expensive interior! I can still remember how I felt when I realised the mistake - which was after the car had been made and when it was on its way to us!

I was sick to my stomach - and to make it worse it wasn't going to be easy to sell as it was already as individual as a Ford can get, as it was a ford employee who ordered it.

One great piece of sales work later, the Ford Employee told me they wished that they had ordered a leather interior, and in the end, I said I might just be able to find them what they were looking for...........it was a long and horrible day.

Another time, when I was a singer, I was booked for an engagement party of some customers of a bar that I was a regular in, I proceeded to call the bride to be, the ex bride to bes name throughout the first set. Funnily enough I never got a wedding invite.

Mrs Miggins. (Who is so glad to be a student).
