NHS pension scheme

Hi guys

I am sure that there are plenty of UK nurses here in Canada and Iike myself I contributed to the NHS pension for about 20 years then moved to Calgary.in 2009.

I am planning to retire soon but the issue I got is that when moving here I kept all my pension paperwork and one day i lost all of it. Now I have no clue about my NHS pension.

I have emailed the NHS pension and they emailed me back telling me that I can retire at 60 and thats it. They acknowledge that I have my pension with them but I dont get any annual statement since 2009.

Is there any nurses in the same predicament as me? How do I apply if I want to retire next year? The fact is that I have no policy number just my NI number and my last few payslips from Barts NHS trust.

Everything you need should lead from this web site, including contact information for the NHS pension administrator.

Between your NI number and having at least one payslip, which should have your NHS payroll number on it, you should be good to go.
