The Newfoundland half-hour

I'd a Newfie colleague in my truck this morning who was a bit confused by the time change this morning, I think he over compensated and got up at 2am or something. Easy done, I will admit to having done something similar in the past... that or lain awake all night looking at the clock on my phone wondering if it will change by itself or not.

Anyway, it led to discussions about time, and The Newfie Half Hour... I think it would drive me nuts. Why don't you don't you just round it up or down and work to the hour like everyone else?

I'm ironing...so watching telly....they have just had a romantic green grasses waving, sun on beach advert, saying..."Come and relax in Newfoundland and Labrador - when you are always half an hour ahead...you never need to Catch-Up!" I thought of you;)

God spent half an hour more, creating Newfoundland.

Funny you should say that. I don't know if it still happens or how many nights a week, but there used to be a couple of TV shows I'd watch on Friday nights a couple of years ago and the Newfoundland channel consistently showed the episode shown "last week" everywhere else.
