New member of the family
Meet Rufus, 9 week old husky-mix from the local SPCA shelter. We picked him up yesterday and we're utterly in love with him already

Here's a question we have about puppies (Rufus is very cute btw ) and pairing a puppy with an older dog.
We're planning on getting another border collie in July (our dog's mother is pregnant again and we've contacted the breeder about buying one of her litter). We really want another female, however some people have mentioned that two females might not get along well together. Is there a possible element of sexual competition between two same sex dogs that live together? Or will they, probably, just get along especially due to them being half-sisters?
Just curious if any of you guys have experience of bringing a new puppy into a home which an older dog has established its territory - tips welcome!
