The new Doctor Who - no spoilers

Re: The new Doctor Who - no spoilers
I thought it was a bit muddled but not terrible.
But PLEASE, for goodness' sake, NO MORE OF CLARA'S LOVE LIFE!
It is BORING and panders to the adolescent mindset that ruined the last series.
More about the DOCTOR,
MORE MASTER
MORE DALEKS,
LESS simpering pseudo-teacher with the maturity and emotional depth of a 14 year old.

Re: The new Doctor Who - no spoilers
Listen took me back to my childhood of DW watching, usually from behind a chair. Personally think the resolution was a bit of a cop out, but some nice callbacks to earlier episodes.
I have this feeling that soldier boy has something to do with Missy. He is certainly hiding a big secret, and it's related to his old job and what he did (trying to avoid spoilers).

Re: The new Doctor Who - no spoilers
Good, we could do with some more old-fashioned scary-creepy Doctor Who stuff. The behind-the-sofa episodes for me in the resurrected sequence have been "The Empty Child" (gas mask kid asking "are you my mummy?") and the first Weeping Angels one ("Blink"). Both properly creepy stories. I like the darkness of some of the Ecclestone episodes, prefer Tennent to Smith, and am not quite sure about Capaldi yet, after the first couple of the new series (have the next couple on pvr, must find time to watch them...)

Agreed!
More tension, more bite, more danger, more sarcasm and black humour, more real bad guys, more evil, more conflicting emotions, more challenge!

Re: The new Doctor Who - no spoilers
Watched first ep last night. I really think Peter Capaldi is nailing it as the doctor
Oh and helcat12 will be happy as apparently her fave character is leaving this season.
