I'm not sure yet on capaldi, I liked David tenant and at first wasn't sure about Matt smith but grew to like him. I will see how it develops

I really liked Capaldi after thinking I wouldn't, although I always think that. I hate the regeneration too!

But I think they portrayed the confusion with ages and actors really well with Clara, and it helped me too

Clara makes K9 look like Lawrence Olivier.

With memories of K9, Adric and Bonnie bleedin' Langford I can't think of anyone else being really bad.

Not keen. Same old, even with 'Malcolm Tucker'

Mind you, I haven't liked it since Tom Baker left.

I enjoyed it but it is much the same, still lots of running and shouting. Needs to be more thoughtful and calculated I think.

Still Tom Baker and David Tennant for me!
Capaldi could grow on me, I think, but the girl has GOT TO GO!

They rarely keep a sidekick for long when they change Doctors, so maybe this will happen shortly.

I thought I was going to hate Donna with every fibre of my being, but I ended up really loving her as an assistant. She was superb with DT.
This girl just doesn't suit the Capaldi Doctor at all. Time to move on from the adolescent-pleasing shouting and running about and go back to the DT darker, more intense Doctor, I think.
HOPE!

Who os going to be the Master this time, do we know? Liked the change of image last time!

Second episode in and I think PC is doing rather well. He's got more of a manic edge, tinged with a fair bit of doubt that he's as "good" as it seems people thing he is, was, or possibly could / should be.

As for Clara going, nah, she'll be there for a long time, after all, she is Missy

Clara CANNOT be Missy!! She is too dense!
There is no feeling between Capaldi and her character. It is not a relationship.

we use Hola to screen tv from the UK, free to use, just the data stream and easy to use.
I loved John Simm as the Master.
They should bring back Torchwood

Yes, the whole DT cast was fabulous and gelled well, right down to Bernard Cribbins and June Whitfield.
It would be difficult to better that, IMHO.
Capaldi has promise, but he needs some quality back-up. I liked the lizard woman character. She had some backbone. Weedy women don't go down well with me.
It seems we are back to a romance for the sidekick. English teacher? Not in a million years!
