New car advice please.
Need some advice. I've got to get HID a new car for Christmas and I'm having a hard time as to what to get as we both like different things. Her only real criteria is that is an automatic and silver. Mine is that I want to keep the total cost under 25k could go to 26k, (I really want put the extra grand or two into new computer or a down payment on a scooter) and it should fairly fuel efficient.
So, what car should we consider? Any experiences/advice would be great. Has anyone used one of those independent agents? I've only ever bought new cars in the UK and the States, is there anything I should know (apart from the high prices) that's unique to Canada? |

Anything on car brokers in the Vancouver area? |
Re: New car advice please.
Never bought a brand new car before. Are you sure you need/want a brand new car? You could save more than the $1k for your scooter/'puter if you went 2 years old.

And, even if I got a used one, the extra money would then be spent on new sofas and carpet rather than something useful. Its my fault as in a drunk moment I said something about a new car if she got a promotion, well the silly tart went and got one and now is holding me to it. :frown: |

I'd love to buy a slightly used one and save a packet but HIO is not budging on this one.

Well, you didn't give us much to go on. Automatic. Silver. Fairly fuel efficient.
Id buy another civic in a heartbeat based on 20+ months in this one. Zero issues with it, 39MPG (7.2 l / 100k) on average in the real world with my lead foot, winter and summer over 33k km. the only downside I suppose is that they are not exactly brimming with individual flair...every other bugger seems to have one. Its Canadas best seller for good reason I think. |
