Women with high pitched voices do my loaf in.
.....It's not their normal voice either, it's put on and they start to talk like babies!!!! WTF is that all about?!!!! It's the most irritating sound ever and makes me want to slap them up side the head with a shovel!
And don't tell me it's not a Canadian thing, i've lived 44 years on this planet, visited countless countries and never hear anything like it before. Anywhere!!!

Agree with the baby voice thing too. Our vet receptionist talks to me with a baby voice and I just want to shove the nearest sharp instrument into her mouth. I'm an adult, talk to me like one!

I was at my sons school today and while waiting to speak to his teacher the phone rang. The receptionist, a woman, about (50 ish), picked up the phone...launched into this almighty high pitched squeal Hiiiiiiiii....the words 'oh and f***' came right out of my gob....it shut her up tho, she went back to using her normal voice after that....and my son thought it was hysterical...

so is it fake then?My friends seem to speak like that all the time!

These contributions are hilarious. The thing (I call it Valley Girl talk) is awful and really pisses me off, especially with those who are old enough to know better (i.e. 15+). And then they'll say "...and I'm like, duuuuh".

How many replies would we have if this was a normal working day? Can i ask, is the reason why so little seems to happen, I mean, so little output from public offices, is this because these civil/public servants (Novo excepted) spend too much work time on these sites? Does CIC allow facebook and BE on work computers,
After that I spend the rest of the day browsing porn sites (such as the grauniad) and only permit myself to contribute here towards the end of the day.
