Well done you and many congratulations for your continued success! That's nine months from the time when you were originally diagnosed, it must have been a bloody awful time for you and your family. Hope you all start to get back your equilibrium and cheers to you all

Thanks again everyone.

Yep, diagnosis was end of October! It's actually amazing how the time has passed. My docs are trying to convince me I shouldn't go back to work until January. I feel like I have lost a year of my life!

I'm returning to the UK on Weds to stay with family for 2 1/2 weeks, then I intend to start the real work towards rehab on my return. January? Well we'll see!

Wonderful news. Not sure "congratulations" is quite the right sentiment, but well done to you for getting through this phase, and all the best for your continued recovery and rehabilitation. Keep your chin (and your feet) up! Don't try to do too much too soon - your docs probably know a thing or two about how draining it all is when they suggest you wait til January to start back at work...

Well done for getting through it and with a positive mind set too.

My niece was diagnosed a little bit before you and she was also told a year before she could go back to work, so it seems to be pretty standard.

Onwards and upwards now!
