I reviewed it in the 2016 thread and gave it 12 out of 10.

It's quite magnificent.

It looks good, if I can find it I will watch it. I actually quite enjoy films which depict God or his rival (Lucifer).

Just discovered the director was the same one as a couple of other Belgian/French favourites. Not sure if I've seen Mr Nobody.

Just finished watching "The Crown" on Netflix, don't think I can handle any more Churchill this year. Although, judging from the trailer, Gary Oldman seems convincing in the role.

My OH and her sister went to watch that on Friday. They said it was disappointing. Meanwhile I took my BiL to the Eagles basketball game in Newcastle which was loadsafun.

Not a movie, but we recently completed watching the French produced (TFI) series on UK Netflix called La Mante.

Top notch. 9/10.

Is "The Frozen Dead" (aka 'Glace') on UK Netflix?. Murder mystery drama set in the Pyrenees. In english the dubbing can be off putting.

I grew up in the late 70s and 80s with dubbing in France. At least 60% of movies were dubbed.
There were only maybe 20 people did the dubbing so you would be constantly saying “isn’t that the voice of x” lol

I'm not sure why they put English subtitles on foreign films, surely foreigners can understand films in their own language?
