The Shape of Water spoiler..

Spoiler:
A romantic story just like free willy... except in this story before the 'whale' is set free... a woman has actual sex with it.... haha, now that's beyond weird!

7 pounds is one of the most moving films I've ever watched.

50/50 was also very good.
I'll have to check out the intouchables.

I really enjoyed it, wouldn't surprise me if the lead female actress gets nominated for an Oscar.
Watched it last night. Really liked it. Dark humour, funny, sad. Excellent characters

We did too but bothered by the plot hole, or at least what I deemed a plot hole, but enjoyed it.

There were a number of things that I felt wouldn't play out "like that" like
Spoiler:
the new chief getting all matey with Dixon

But then, in real life there's Trump's mate Sheriff Joe (or whatever his name is) and that doesn't seem realistic.

I did some googling and there seems to be a lot of unease about the gift shop scene.
Spoiler:
If he had nothing to do with it why the taunting? And/or why the bragging?

I thought of it as a device more than a hole.
Spoiler:
Leading us into thinking it was him. Maybe some PTSD and perhaps something similar happened on his tour. If he wasn't unstable and was just an unpleasant nasty piece of work and really did have something to do with it, he probably wouldn't be so daft as to talk about it like that in the bar.

Or was it something else?

This movie is one of my all time favourites. It is subtitled, but so so good.

Incendies (2010) - IMDb

Be careful you don't read the spoilers in the reviews.

I have just finished watching this South Korean 'trilogy' which I really enjoyed.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Vengeance_Trilogy

The old boy ending was a WTF moment, how do the writers have so much imagination?

I am watching a Chinese series on Netflix " All Quiet in Peking." While I cant say the quality of the acting or the overall film show the quality one might have hoped for, it is quite fascinating how a Chinese language series is shown through the plot and script. Story is set in the last year the Nationalists in power before the Communists took over.

Not a great movie but Stegman Is Dead was quite fun and a little off beat.

Canadian too, Winnipeg.

You're all mad if you don't see Paddington 2.

It's even better than the first one.

Thor Ragnarok. If you enjoy the MCU movies this one is the most fun of any recent ones imo.
