On the move again ....

Starting my 4th job since landing. This one at the Foothills Hospital (ortho) starting Monday.

Hehe .... hubby says they just about get used to my "funny little ways" at a place each time, then I leave! :p

Anyways .... these guys understand my reasons for leaving (not enough hands-on clinical etc) and were quite supportive though disappointed I didn't stay longer. Last night was party night anyway, so a nice goodbye from everyone. Back to the pointy end for me! :thumbup:

Congratulations m'dear. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Perhaps I'll see you when I come for my 5-6 day visit.

If it ever happens. :sneaky:

Not unless you fall out of bed while you are there and break your hip! (I'm on orthopedics/trauma - unit 72) :p

Thanks all for the good wishes .... I think I have restless legs syndrome or something .... hopefully I'll settle down one day! Not that I didn't enjoy my last job for the most part .... just didn't tick all the boxes, and anyway the experience is all grist to the mill. :thumbsup:

That's a distinct possibility. :ohmy::eek:

The first thing the physio-terrorist did when I woke up from my last by-pass was make me stand up. :mad::eek::eek:

Everybody says it is really busy and hectic compared to PLC and RGH, so gird up your loins! :eek::blink::rofl:

To me the units seem really crowded and lacking in space .... oftentimes it runs at up to 4X over-capacity. It's going to be no picnic, but it should be interesting!!! :thumbup:

It's true though. Cardiac patients, if they don't do what the physio tells them then their chests fill up with gunk. .... spinal patients need physios big time.. etc etc.

In health matters, do what the physio tells you, no argument. It's the only way to go.

Good luck Morwenna, hope it turns out to be what you want. I have already seen too much of the Foothills Hospital, and this morning it took nearly half an hour to find a parking space!!! :)

Good Luck there Morwena

I wish you were closer as I need a good physio for all my old injury issues... I don't even know where to start looking. Work's health care plan starts in about 3 weeks, so will prob miss this years claims....

If you can recommend anyone / anywhere in Vancouver I'd appreciate it!!!

Hope you enjoy your job - sounds like you will be VERY busy!!!!
