Motorbike Insurance?
Does anyone know if motorbike insurance is expensive in Canada?
I know it depends on age, etc, but say hubbie is 46 and has full no claims bonus, and wants a Harley, what sort of price would he be looking at?
Also, what does the test involve when coming over as a PR to Nova Scotia?

Hellishly so, even more when you take the short riding season into account.

Re: Motorbike Insurance?
I am paying $460ish for a '93 GSXR 750. The insurance is similar to a 3rd party fire and theft type thing. I paid under $3k for the bike. It's my 1st bike in Canada, I have been here 3 years, I didn't show any proof of no claims.
The guy in the insurance office apologised for the expense of the insurance and claimed it would be cheaper if I have gone for a newer tourer type bike instead.
I am in Alberta and I am a 37 year old girly and have had a full bike licence since 18. I was sweetly surprised at the deal I got for insurance. It will be interesting to see what insurance will be for hubby after he has learnt and passed his test in August.
To think at 21 I was paying 1200 pounds for a RD350 YPVS that cost me around 3,000 pounds - I think insurance here is OK considering.
