Default More Education Woes in BC-Capilano U on strike

Really sucks for the students, they went on strike right before the end of the term. Union refused the university's offer to end strike and permit students to complete their academic year.

University has asked union to postpone strike action starting Monday so students can complete final exams.

I find this work action appalling and shame on those who are potentially ruining the term for the students involved.

I am starting to wonder if anyone can receive any sort of education in BC without a work disruption from the staff.

Yes indeed. But their main campus has more useful real world programs, and its a good place to upgrade academically to transfer to another school. The main campus in North Van is the closest real university to the Sea to Sky corridor as well, so they are an important link in the high education system.

Strike is now resolved and exams rescheduled. Although it has meant some fart arsing around for some kids. Ie my daughter having to rearrange work
shifts.
