Hey guys and gals,

Miss Piff missed her flight, she didn't hear the alarm and carried on snoring.

She has called Westjet who have offered zero help and has been informed that because she missed her outbound flight, her return is automatically forfeit.

This seems mean to me. Is it normal? Does she have any avenues of recourse?

Any advice would be appreciated.

She's checking her benefits, to see if she does. Already checked the Skyscanner thingy, already followed those steps. Thank you. It's been a nightmare and it's been expensive but she's in the air and lNds in Edmonton this morning! I still get to hug her!

Sounds like WestJet. Never got the love affair with them- I've always had negative experiences.

On any multi-flight itinerary, including a simple there-and-back return trip, you will always lose your bookings all subsequent legs if you miss boarding any one leg.
