Re: TO meet up, or not to meet up?
Thanks Sarah, it was great to meet up with you all and I had a great time.
To those of you who missed a fantastic evening, we'll be same place, same time, on the last Thursday of every month. The next date is Feb 28th. See you there.

Well, thought I would get my neb in first - I'm really enjoying this speaking Engerlish lark and thank everyone for a great time...
Nice to put faces to names, and wow what a great bunch of people... I'm sure I talked too much as I normally do when I've had too much to drink...
I'm a wee bit tipsy right now so I'm heading off for Bedfordshire, after taking the required Advil... Hopefully next month I'll be celebrating some good news with you guys!

I look forward to our meet next month! Perhaps we'll add a few new faces?
Rob.

I slept in... my cats elected to not wake me up this morning :curse:
Thankfully there are no signs of a hangover though

Blleeeuuuggghhh. Head a little sore this morning. Had to be in the office for an 8.00 meeting - not sure I was exactly firing on all cylinders, but at least there was coffee and pastries to help me through!
Thanks all for an excellent evening. Good to meet you and put (real) names to faces. Same again next month sounds like a good plan....

I haven't been on much lately so I missed this thread :curse: but glad you all had a nice time.
Does the monthly meet up have to been on a school night?
I can't do school nights, especially downtown, or was that the plan.

Re: TO meet up, or not to meet up?
I got woke up by the missus at 7am with a "You're late for work, get up".
So I called in sick.
Hey Sarah, are your cats related to ours. If I don't get up within 5 minutes of my alarm going off, she's nipping my hand.

Re: TO meet up, or not to meet up?
I'm normally woken by persistant and loud miowing. This morning there was silence.
When I actually woke up and dashed out of bed I was greeted by a look that said "so you've finally decided to get up have you"
No doubt tomorrow, when I don't have to get up early, I will be pestered from 7am onwards...
If this sounds like your's then they probably are related...

It turned out to be a success and we all stayed drinking, eating and chatting until the (workers) called it a night.
I'm sure we could ask around before the next meet to see what peeps think.
We plan to meet last Thursday each month.
What's your suggestion?
Zoe and I are also planning a week day shop/lunch meet at St. Lawrence Market - any good for you?

I guess it was just a thought to meet centrally after work for some, before they disappeared into the 'burbs. I kinda thought it would be less of an intrusion into peoples real lives by meeting on a week night for after work drinks which if it went badly could end early.

(i.e. if we've got no family activity planned for early on Saturday - I can cope with a commute when I'm a bit fuzzy round the edges, but not sure I'd survive the terrors of two small children....)
