Do you want to read about your pleasure bits getting squashed between two slabs of cold metal?

Yesterday's Jeopardy was a charity tournament. Men had chosen breast cancer charities. It's curious how they do that, never liver or lung cancer, always tits. One assumes that at universities male lecturers similar concern themselves with the health of their students.

This thread title is a bit alarmist, IMO. The article is about EARLY detection. Also worth reading the actual original article in the Lancet.

Of course, I do think that its always good to highlight healthcare issues

You may make that assumption.......I reckon that most scientists however would not.

It's a poke at the OP's distaste for policies against sexual harrasment.

I agree but the Maple Leaf isn't life... for me, anyway... it's an escapist wonderland for my Id and I will protest real life invading at every turn.

Be serious. I only have a distaste for ridiculous exaggerations.

Just to throw in my two pennies - I am a young BC survivor - true I found my lump by touch and true my mammo did not pick it up even though the ultrasound saw it clear as day. The bottom line here is that mammograms are not 100% but they do give a baseline and can find some cancers, they are currently the only tool that is available for mass screening although other things are always being developed and soon hopefully will over take the mammogram. MRIS are great but give a high rate of false readings, mainly false positives that lead to unnecessary biopsies and in same cases surgery. Nice of the guys and Dave the Cat to be concerned for us - and he is right to highlight the pitfalls but at the end of the day it is still a good idea to have a yearly mammo and guys, it is your job to keep your hands on your ladies' breasts - after all you should be the first to notice any changes - my hubby did and we found it early and dealt with it.

Nah, it'll never catch on (Not this lot anyway, they are too shy and reserved and would never think of doing anything like this )

Ps, in all seriousness, glad everything worked out well
