Magnums - Now available in Canada
 

I saw an advert for these on US TV the other day....went to my local Walmart and there they were, they are a tad smaller than UK ones...and for $6.99 for 3, they are not cheap...but they do taste like English Magnums!!!

I think maybe the English ones got smaller too? .... leastways, when I had a Magnum back in my May visit to UK I was somewhat disappointed with the size! :unsure:

What with rising food prices I suspect they have been made smaller to prevent price increases. They are quite expensive to begin with.

they haven't been for sale in our supermarkets here....they bring back memory's of a Sat night.....Fish and chips...nip to Sainsbury's to get a lottery ticket and a treat for after Fish and Chips...either Magnum or Maltessers or a bar of Galaxy....home to watch the lottery and Casualty and eat treat!!

Many things have become smaller in the last couple of years yet they've remained the same price or even gone up in price.

Superstore and Shoppers DM often has them for between $4 and $5. Even $3.49 once.:)

A few acceptable alternative brands have also appeared.

gotta make the best of evenings in when ya got little babies in bed sleeping....or we coulda taken them out and about like they do in Canada at 7 o clock at night and allow them to ruin other peoples evenings cos they are tired and grouchy and should be in bed!!

You have painted an image of exactly what I went through growing up :) Like someone said though, they've been here for a while, I have had it in 3 different provinces now. You cane specially get them at the movie cinemas too, but the flavours are limited.

For the poster that said "so what"......lighten up :D

I personally think that Costco do one of the best Vanilla flav'd ice creams (as long as the machine has been cleaned cos its gets bitty) its great value for money and very creamy...but think for us Chucklitt liking English peeps Magnums are more about the chucklitt rather than the ice cream!!!

Nope, no Safeway stores east of Thunder Bay.

You should be able to get them at Superstore or Loblaws though.

I can get them as I posted in my first post.....just they are new to round here I guess.....(well a couple of months) I just assumed they were new to Canada and the US as I have never seen adverts on em until the other day!!

Weird, i bought a pack last summer from Save on Foods in Vancouver :confused:

I guess the wording "Magnum will achieve full national distribution in Canada on May 12, 2011" suggests it was only available in select areas.
