I had an almond magnum today. Differences to a choc ice: chocolate coating about three times as thick; you can bite it off in big pices rather than it crumbling due to its thinness. Then, having removed the choc you can taste the ice cream is far creamier than usual.

I know of no choc ices with such thick chocolate and such a creamy taste.

And then there's that 'little' matter of the chocolate being the Belgian variety.

Got some of these in the US today - $3.29 minus 2 x $1 coupons = $1.29

Beats paying $6.99 to Roblaws.

Not quite as tasty as I remembered them, but still pretty nice. Wouldn't pay 7 bucks for them though....

Chapmans does something similar. I bought a box yesterday in Superstore. Not as good, of course, but half as much for more than twice as many.

Eating the chocolate off was much the same.
