I bought a gluten free loaf yesterday from a local bakery. The bread is now in the bin as it was too dire to eat.

I posted in another thread about the Kinnikinnick frozen Italian sandwich loaf (Rice & tapioca)..

You have to toast it but it's not bad & tastes a little like Challah bread..

We can get it in Superstore & Sobeys here..

It's the best of a bad bunch..

That's my second choice bread after the cheese bread.

Funnily enough I made a nice steak and guinness pie the other week. There was a bit of filling left over and I'm having it for tea on some rice.

Unfortunately my youngest daughter & I are both dangerously allergic (Anaphylaxis) to wheat & dairy proteins..

Cheese bread sounds delicious 'though..

Tuna and scallion sandwich, that I got from Market Place, which I wolfed down in the car as was running late for an appointment, then thought perhaps I should not have eaten fish and onion before going to the hairdressers...poor girl.

I managed to find some pickled eggs in the supermarket yesterday. So today I'm having a bit of bread, a bit of cheese and a pickled egg.

Nice, although the ones I've seen aren't in proper malt vinegar are yours?

I recently discovered Cobbs bread and their white makes excellent sandwiches so today I brought some ham and cucumber and couple of rounds of egg and cress along with a packet of tomato sauce flavoured crisps.

No, not in malt vinegar. Still, I quite enjoyed eating it even though it wasn't as flavourful as those at home.

If I buy pickled eggs, my husband eats them within 2 days - I need the chip shop sized jars

Not really, just whatever I buy. Whenever I do hard boiled eggs for sandwiches the next day I always have to do at least 5 more than I think I'll need as they will be eaten before I have a chance to mush 'em up and add mayonnaise.

As long as I can find some big jars, I'm thinking of sourcing some free range eggs and pickling them with proper malt vinegar if I can find some. Anyone want to go in on them?
