It ended up raining not as much as the forecast, today was mostly pleasant. I'd say around 20-21C mix of sun and clouds, not bad really. A bit chilly in the early morning though, haven't had a warm ride into work since end of last summer....

I'm sure we all used to think it got "a bit sticky" sometimes but I don't think that prepares one for the humidity over here at all. Shirt getting a little damp on a humid day is really not the same thing as the stifling experience here.

You cannot begin to compare the summer heat/humidity and the brutal winter freezing temps here with those of the UK.

I am so glad you've said this. I was beginning to think I was exaggerating.

This morning I got up at 6 to walk the dog before it was too hot but it was still stiffling. You can smell the ozone. The pollution funnels up from Toronto, Hamilton, and the Ohio valley and dumps on us. Well I think that's what Novo said?

More likely Nanticoke and Detroit, lol.

If you ever drive down from Hamilton towards Niagara you can see the cloud of pollution just hanging in the air as you get nearer to Nanticoke, a yellowish haze... it's horrible.

I think Hamilton used to have an impact on the pollution, but now with only 1 steel plant (and very limited production) there's not much left here now create the pollution.

We were in Rio 2 years ago January. I said the weather there was similar to here in summer. At the time hubby disagreed...now he agrees.

After 39 years of marriage he still hasn’t learnt that I am always right.

Years ago we lived in south Etobicoke a stone's throw from the lake and in the summer you could often see a brown line on the horizon over the lake facing Hamilton/St. Catharines/USA.

Years ago when we used to drive from Sunderland to the south my brother would always get an asthma attack as we drive through Teeside. A human cabary.

There is a guy on my oldtimers football team here in Ottawa who has lived in Canada about as long as he lived in Scotland and he claims he breaks out in hives if he goes past Gretna Green or Berwick on Tweed.

A big one with a very varied climate.

19c in Vancouver currently with some clouds, although at 5am it was nice and sunny.

Golfed Twice.

Drunk a lot of booze.

Went and watched Toronto Wolfpack on Saturday afternoon.

Glad to relax this afternoon/evening in my condo with the air conditioning working over time.

It looks like this heatwave is going to run for a while!.
