Man offers two other men money to get kicked in the groin. (onlookers gawk and do nothing)

Whooosh.

I have a fleeting suspicion that Caretaker posted that not to highlight the somewhat humdrum fact of the drug bust, but to point out the rather splendid irony of the road name.

Never mind, carry on.

Fire in apartment building. Local employer has five employees living there, so pays $1500 to each of them for costs of finding new home, gives them free taxi rides for a week while hunting (and time off) and fund raising to help other tenants too.

Man tries to rob restaurant. He demanded money from an employee, was refused and left. "No weapons were shown and no one was injured during the incident."

What incident?

It reminded me of one a few years ago. Guy goes into a bank, hands over note saying "fill this bag with money" and sits and waits. Guess who's next through the door?

Hiker died on a local glacier is the top story right now (other then the teachers strike.) Hiker was apparently not experienced in that type of climbing.
