Linked-In "lady"
Ok, the lawyer was being a bit creepy and should have known better, but the young lady could really have handled this better privately rather than publicly IMO. Definitely a case of pot, kettle.

His message was out of tone with the site he is on. I'm sure his wife will not be too impressed.

His comment was inappropriate but her response was way over the top.
On another note, in that photo she reminds me of an actress but I cannot for the life of my name that actress

If you don't want people to judge you based on your looks, don't put a picture on your profile, its not obligatory.

Oh My God, I'm sorry for complimenting you!
And he never said anything about her appearance, he was complimenting the photography.
Why would he compliment her appearance when she's an ugly pig???

So he recognizes it as a politically incorrect thing to say but you don't? And because you object you're going to insult her. Nice.. In fact that's more befitting playground behaviour actually.

Re: Linked-In "lady"
I am confused as to what is offensive about the original comment made, just mentions the photo not her looks, and then simply say's it's the best picture he has seen.
I guess I am out of tune with what is considered offensive and what isn't these days...
Seems she is ageist since it appears she chose to out this message due to his age, as she has apparently received other messages she didn't post.
What a complicated world we live in.
Never compliment anyone on anything to be safe I suppose.

Ms Proudman said she had received similar messages about her appearance before, although not from anyone as senior as Mr Carter-Silk.
Ms Proudman told the Telegraph: "I was just so infuriated after I read the message. Initially I thought ‘Oh God another one, I’ll just delete it’.
"Then I thought, 'no I’m not going to take this'. This is from a senior partner who should know better."

I can't see how the original comment is even offensive, I am still at a loss. Her appearance was never mentioned, as far as I can tell.
Oh well, part of the disorder is not seeing what other see or understanding people, which is why most people with my disorder don't have friends......lol..

I don't get what he was thinking - she's kind of weird looking.
