I'm starting to identify with that feeling. Just sold most of my furniture, now eating dinner off a large cardboard box, and I don't even leave till March, but I wasn't going to say no when offered cash for chairs, tables and bookcases!
I'm sat here thinking "Oh &&&&, now its real :scaredhair:

Good luck to you, hope it all goes smoothly and works out well :)

One job I applied for but didn't get... In 1988 or '89 it was. I was fighting deportation from Cayman (for getting on the wrong side of the local politicians) and applied for several jobs elsewhere, in case I lost the fight. One was for the post of head of the offshore-companies Office in Liberia. (I know! But I think I must have been a bit desperate.) They flew me up to Langley for an interview (Liberia was a CIA colony, and probably still is), which went well enough until I asked the salary. It was about what I'd been earning in Cayman, and I thought that was way too low for what could be a high-risk position, so backed out. A Hamish Somebody working in Jamaica got the job. Somehow we made phone contact several years later (I can't recall how), and I asked him how it had gone for him in Monrovia. Cue strong Scottish accent here... "Aye it wasna too bad", he said. "Except for the civil war, of course."

Of course. Bad timing for him, good timing for me. I wonder how the job changed his life.

Thanks you and good luck to you all

We have sold as much as we can, only the couch and TV left to sell. The boxes go on Wednesday . Then we move to an airbnb so we can clean up before we move. The dog will be seen by the vet on Thursday and a CFIA vet on Friday. So much paperwork for one little dog. I've put a Tesco order in for delivery to our rental the day we arrive so fingers crossed that the house sale closing is smooth. A few weeks ago we hadn't even thought about this move and yet here we are surrounded by boxes.

I cannot take away the worry and scaredness. I wish I could . A magic wand somehow.
You both have every right to feel concern because you go into all new unknown territory.
Keep posting PiffPoff. Maybe that will help a weeny little bit and we are here on the other end to hold out a cyber hand.
