Default Kettles - using a 240v one

Yes i know . . .

but

if i wanted to use my UK 240v kettle in Canada - apart from adaptor for the pins
i think it ill owrk but be slower than it is here due to voltage drop

anyone comment ?

also if i'm right , 110v kettles will be slower so my cup of T will
take longer ?

Is your kettle designed for centigrade or fahrenheit?

I know what you mean. Kettles are bloody expensive here - for instance, those rip off merchants at london drugs charge a shocking $20 for them. At that price, you're better off shipping your kettle over and waiting twice as long for your cup of tea.

Nobody likes an oily beach Steve. Look at the effort BP are going to to prevent it.

Washing the oil out of Alberta's sand can only be a good thing for the toruist industry.

It would depend on where the kettle was plugged in.
Although personally I don't know of any oil fired electricity generating plants.

Maybe down east?
