Just moved to NW Calgary
So my OH and I finally moved to Calgary 6 weeks ago from England. our plane was stacked with Brits making the move. We are in our mid 50s but very young at heart and into our fitness, health and sports. We lived in Ontario previously for 6 years and became dual citizens, before returning to the UK for 11 years and have now returned for good this time around as our youngest son moved here to Calgary a few years ago. We have just moved into a house in NW Calgary. We have already made good friends with some lovely Canadians and ardent Cavalry FC fans but would also love to know if there are any other Brits who are in a similar position to ourselves and living in the NW quadrant of the city or Cochrane etc who would be interested in meeting up for a coffee/beer etc with similar interests. Or if any expat clubs exists etc. I have just retired after 30 years in the police (Albeit I am now looking for work here) and OH was in education. We are very independent, sociable, normal nice people and not at all needy! LOL but its always nice to meet some fellow expats for banter, beer, footie, coffee and of course British humour!
