I'm certain that it's illegal to import that into the EU so please just knock yourself out and eat it yourself, but not until after your baby evacuates your bump.

Looks like I missed a grand evening! All the very best to the honourable Professor and Mrs Castrian. I'm sure you will, indeed, spare us a thought in the middle of next winter, even if that thought is accompanied by unseemly amounts of gloating
And while it's obviously disappointing that the Fromidable mysteriously got left behind (fess up, Schnooks, you've been secretly putting it away by the spoonful, haven't you?) I'm very glad to hear that the Pompous Megalomaniac was good - not least because I bought a couple of bottles myself in sympathy.
I did my now familiar routine of arriving home from travels on Friday and turning straight round again to go off to spend the weekend in a field - this time with a couple of hundred other people, at least half of whom were between 5 and 7 years old and with a tendency to be far too loud far too early in the morning. If only Scouts Canada weren't so hung up on not allowing alcohol into their campgrounds, I'd have raised a glass in your honour...

Novo - let me know after you have the No99 Gretzky wine as well. We had some with a lobster dinner last night (well, everyone else did) and it was a hit. One of our favourites, Mr Schnooks has about a case in stock.
For anyone who wasn't there, here are the bottles that were gifted:

Important to warm up. Does an Olympic sprinter run at full pelt straight away. No he stretches and slowly gets the muscles moving accordingly.
Rijkaards White is not a faint hearted beer.
By the way "sweet pot" is not actually "pot" but a short abbreviation for sweet potato fries!

I did pass Novo some Canadian Tyre money in case the euro collapses.
I think he told me to stick up my bum or something in line with his normal lines of politeness.

All pretty hazy.

There were a few things added to the hamper as well, that pic was taken before the rest of the contributions were made - huge thanks to everyone who did contribute!
The two glasses you can see there are engraved with "Novo & Nova", you can just make it out if you look really carefully. There are few other things buried in the hamper that didn't come out in the picture, like the Canada shot glasses, some Laura Secord chocolates, maple syrup in a gorgeous glass jar with a moose on it, a moose crossing sign, and a few other things that are now escaping me! Plus the awesome book from DandNHill, "A Year In The Merde" which looked brilliant!

Here are several photo's of the Hamper. Again special credit to Schnooks for making it look good.
I also took a picture of my bill which shows we wrapped up at about 10 past midnight. I was feeling a little fragile on Saturday.

James- that would be a respectable intake if you hadn't spoilt it by drinking Rocky Mountain water to start with.

Re: June 19th, The End my friends....
Apologies for not being able to attend, it sounded like a great evening, I did offer my excuses before hand on my Canniversary thread and an all the best for the future speech too. I was away enjoying the water for an extended weekend with some boating freinds! Lots of coat tail riding is needed at the moment....or wake riding....
Anyway im glad a good time was had by all, hamper looks great, but not as good a James's bill, good work old chap!! Well except for the first two pints of insipid dishwater! even the olympic sprinter excuse doesnt excuse that! lol.
Cheers.

Paul I was hoping you were going to make it out! Reasonable excuse for missing it, at least.
BTW, we need a volunteer to organize the next one, probably early September unless there's appetite for a summer one!
