Jim'll Fix It...

So, did any of you have "IT" fixed by Jim'll?

I wanted him to fix it for me to sleep in the same bed as Bert and Ernie. Jim'll failed me and did not fix this for me.

:0)

Nope

I'm not quite so convinced that the sexuality of a couple of felt puppets is really all that interesting to the public at large, but Sesame Street nonetheless responded with a very unambiguous statement, stating once again that Ernie and Bert are not gay.

"Bert and Ernie are best friends. They were created to teach preschoolers that people can be good friends with those who are very different from themselves," the statement said. "Even though they are identified as male characters and possess many human traits and characteristics... they remain puppets, and do not have a sexual orientation."

That's quite disturbing. Why do so many people find it important to signify sexuality (of any nature) to preschoolers?

Back on topic, Jim never fixed owt for me, but I remember liking his chair.

Jimmy Saville - ex Radio DJ who had a delightfully cheesy Saturday television show, where kids would write it with a request for Jim to "fix" it for them to realise some long held desire.

It was super popular, and he was super creepy.

I wanted to fly with the Red Arrows when I was about 13.

I think the sight of a woman in her forties, throwing up into a bag, is somehow not that becoming.

I could maybe manage a hot-air balloon. Maybe.
