Getting warmer as the day goes on, though, and a high of -2 tomorrow!
CFRB said mix of rain and snow on Saturday, and then high of -4 on Sunday.... so if it rains, do we get to look forward to another ice rink adventure on Sunday? That'll be fun... ... ...

Well it's not particularly cold, but lots of snow again
They were forecasting a maximum of 20cm by tonight for this area - they were wrong... I have well over 35cm already, plus drifting.

Not much better in Oakville. The drive to work stank this morning. Usually I drop my husband off, then drive to the office. That usually takes 20 mintues. Took 50 this morning. I feel bad for people wtih longer commutes. And it's still coming down here....
If you're parking, don't forget to raise your wipers so that they don't freeze to the dash or get buried under the piles of snow.

Each winter seems different to previous ones. Like everywhere else we had at least double the usual snow for December to the point I was thinking that there was no more room for the plow guy to push it along our drive and that the next snowfall would likely mean a tractor/snowblower to deal with it at three times the cost.
But since January began I think we only had one snowfall of two inches which soon melted. The rest have just been flurries.
We typically get more than half our winter snowfall after Feb 1st, though, so there's still time to be buried in the stuff.
It's just not looking or feeling like it will happen.

A curious drive this morning. The amount of snow early on wasn't particularly deep but the car was having more problems getting grip than I recall at any other point this winter. Turning at a junction I even managed to skid slightly and graze the snow bank. Being a stubborn sort, and knowing what I'm doing, I don't slam on the brakes like those of a more fragile persuasion, thus allowing me to get myself out of the difficulty instead of merely plowing straight on with all the wheels locked under braking.
Shame that at slow speeds or parked the car only puts out cold air. Might be time for a new thermostat.
